Stage 1, Criterion 1 - Motivation letter
(up to 12,000 characters including spaces)
The letter should include:
- rationale for the choice of the research topic (project)

Stage 1, Criterion 2 - Student record card (transcript of records)
In establishing the result, assessments of those learning outcomes that are significant for the implementation of research projects in the discipline of computer and information sciences shall be taken into account; the scoring criteria adopted by the committee shall be described in the minutes.

Stage 1, Criterion 3 - Academic and research activity to date
- conference presentations (max. 3 points)
- authorship or co-authorship of publications listed in the Minister of Science’s announcement regarding the list of scientific journals and peer-reviewed materials from international conferences, and in the Minister of Education and Science’s announcement regarding the list of publishers of peer-reviewed scientific monographs (journal article—2 points; max. 4 points)
- implementation of a research project funded from external sources (coinvestigator—1 point)
- other scientific achievements (max. 1 point)

Stage 2 - Admission interview
During the interview, the candidate presents their experience and competencies related to the topic for which they are applying.
Assessment components:
- responses to questions concerning the implementation of the project
- knowledge within the relevant research field
- command of English
- aptitude for conducting research and presenting its results
- responses to questions on general knowledge

How to calculate the final score
The final result shall correspond to the result of the second stage. If several candidates achieve the same score, their position on the ranking list shall be determined by the total points obtained in the first and second stages.
