Admissions criteria

Applications may be submitted by persons who:

• have completed higher education and obtained a diploma with the degree of engineer, master, or master engineer,

or

• have completed studies abroad and hold a foreign diploma authorizing them to undertake studies in the country where it was issued.

The diploma should correspond to a field assigned to one of the following disciplines: materials engineering, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, physical sciences, or chemical sciences.

Qualification is based on a competition of grades from the diploma of completed studies.

Admission is determined by the candidate’s position on the ranking list, established according to the candidate’s score (WK) calculated using the following formula:

WK = 2 × D + O

where:

• WK – candidate’s score,

• D – grade on the diploma in a field assigned to one of the above disciplines (if the candidate has not completed a field assigned to one of the above disciplines, D = 0),

• O – grade on the diploma in a field assigned to a discipline other than those listed above.

Recruitment is carried out for the summer semester.

A student may be required to supplement missing learning outcomes by completing bridging courses (for a fee) within a period designated by the Dean of the Faculty.

A study candidate is obliged to submit a relevant medical certificate confirming the lack of medical contraindications to take up studies in this degree programme.
