ETAP I • Złożenie teczki z pracami własnymi do 1) Student ma do wyboru: 2) Treatment filmu dokumentalnego pt. „Drugi” - nie dłuższy niż 1 strona. Uwaga. Komisja nie zwraca egzemplarzy prac własnych pisemnych. Warunki techniczne przesyłanych plików do systemu IRK
- Linki do filmów umieszczonych na serwisach streamingowych (Youtube, Vimeo, itp.) zapisane w dokumencie typu PDF lub TXT (wraz z danymi dostępowymi do filmów typu hasło / użytkownik) lub - Pliki wideo MP4 lub MOV z kodekiem H.264 w rozdzielczości 1920x1080 pikseli lub 1280x720 pikseli (parametry - kodek H.264, bitrate maksymalny 10mbps, dźwięk Stereo AAC). Pojedynczy przesłany plik wideo nie może być większy niż 900MB – łączna ilość przesłanych dodatkowych plików nie może przekroczyć pojemności 2GB (2048MB). (środa, czwartek, piątek) Egzamin ustny: Obrona prac własnych (teczka) oraz rozmowa związana z kontekstem i świadomością sztuki filmowej. Po zakończeniu etapu pierwszego Komisja Egzaminacyjna ogłosi wyniki i podejmie decyzję o zakwalifikowaniu się kandydatów do drugiego etapu egzaminów wstępnych. ETAP II () od godz. Egzamin pisemny: zadanie analityczno – scenariopisarskie (proszę pisać długopisem i pamiętać, że prace muszą być czytelne dla komisji) () od godz. Egzamin praktyczny: zadanie plastyczne – inscenizacyjne Po zakończeniu etapu drugiego Komisja Egzaminacyjna ogłosi wyniki i podejmie decyzję o zakwalifikowaniu się kandydatów do trzeciego etapu egzaminów wstępnych. ETAP III () od godz. do godz. Zadanie dokumentalne – fotoreportaż w plenerze. (o godzinie 15:00 wszyscy kandydaci muszą wrócić do budynku Szkoły Filmowej im. K. Kieślowskiego z wykonanym zadaniem. Godzina ta jest nieprzekraczalna) () od godz. Zadanie inscenizacyjne w studio filmowym. () od godz. Rozmowa kwalifikacyjna. Obrona zadania dokumentalnego i inscenizacji. |

Admissions criteria
For candidates with the NEW MATURA and candidates with the OLD MATURA:
Stage I
• Submission of a portfolio of original works:

The candidate may choose one of the following:
- A feature film treatment no longer than 3 pages + one dialogue scene (related to the same project), also no longer than 3 pages. It must be an original project (not an adaptation), and the story must take place in contemporary times.
or
- A feature film screenplay (max. 30 minutes and 25 pages).
- A documentary film treatment, the topic of which will be specified in the IRK2 system for the given academic year.
- A documentary film project on any subject, no longer than 1 page.
- A film (max. 1 minute) presenting the candidate, including justification for why they intend to study directing at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School in Katowice. The self-presentation will be evaluated in all aspects (idea, form, and content).
- A series of 10 photographs describing how the candidate perceives the surrounding world.
- A series of 5 to 10 photographs under a specific title provided in the recruitment criteria for the given academic year.
- Any other original works (film – max. 10 minutes, literature, visual arts).
Note: The committee does not return submitted written works. Film works must be submitted as a LINK to a webpage (films may be uploaded to free platforms such as YouTube, Vimeo, etc.).
• Oral exam: Defense of the submitted works (portfolio) and an interview related to the context and awareness of film art.
Stage II
- Practical exam: a visual/staging task.
- Written exam: an analytical and screenwriting task.
Stage III

- Documentary task: an outdoor photo report.
- Staging task in a film studio.
- Interview: defense of the documentary task and the staging exercis A maximum of 18 candidates with the highest total scores advance to Stage III.
Points from Stage I and Stage II are combined.
If more than 18 candidates achieve the same score, all candidates with that score advance to Stage III
